Michelle Midyette is an award-winning jewelry designer and G.I.A. Graduate Gemologist. In 2004, she began her professional career by designing a number of highly prized fine jewelry lines which grew into powerful brands. To date, Michelle has worked with over 25 different companies and countless individuals creating innovative jewelry that runs the gamut from stunning one-of-a-kind pieces to full 18k, diamond and gemstone collections, as well as affordable silver and semi-precious gem lines that are sold globally. She has consulted on the design, production and branding for many premiere USA fine jewelry houses, including Optimum Diamonds, Pampillonia Designs, JudeFrances Jewelry, Elizabeth Showers, Zasha Jewelry, Sloane St. and the a costume jewelry collaboration Lulu Avenue by JudeFrances with Charles & Colvard. She also brings all of her extensive industry and gemstone knowledge to her custom jewelry clients, creating an intuitive process that enables them to create the very finest heirloom pieces.


Alternatively, she teamed up with chef Andrew Chen to found The Monkey King Noodle Company restaurant group in Dallas, Texas, and was responsible for the design, branding, marketing and social media of the highly successful noodle and dumpling spot. They were named Best Chinese in DFW by D Magazine multiple times and were a special feature in The Huffington Post.


Originally from Texas, Michelle graduated from The Hockaday School and The University of Texas at Austin with a Studio/Fine Arts degree, before working in fundraising and event planning for The Santa Fe Opera, The Lensic Theater of Santa Fe, and the Metropolitan Opera of New York. The daughter of software entrepreneur Bob Midyette (USDATA) and the accomplished intaglio printmaker Vicki Midyette, she currently resides in both downtown Dallas, Texas, and Santa Fe, New Mexico.
